Rayshrink – Flexible, High-Temperature Crosslinked Polyolefin Sleeving
Rayshrink is a flexible crosslinked Polyolefin heat shrink sleeving. A tough protective cover with higher service temperatures. Rayshrink heat shrink sleevings are radiation crosslinked sleevings. This structure provides high quality sleevings with good thermal ageing and elevated service temperatures. These sleevings can have a shrinkage ratio up to 4:1. Rayshrink is a family of sleevings:–
- Rayshrink C standard grade
- Rayshrink S with max operating temperature of 135°C
- Rayshrink CG transparent grade
- Rayshrink S3 with a 3:1 shrinkdown ratio
- Rayshrink 100 with internal adhesive liner

Rayshrink S MIL-STD heat-shrink tube
Sleeving Properties
Rayshrink S is more highly specified than Rayshrink C with maximum operating temperature of 135°C. It meets the more demanding specifications including MIL-1-23053/5 class1 and class 2.
Sleeving Applications
Rayshrink S is used for the same type of applications as Rayshrink C and is selected for military and similar highly demanding requirements.
Sleeving Sizes
Rayshrink S is supplied in the same sizes as Rayshrink C and with 2:1 shrink ratio.
Sleeving Colour Range
Rayshrink S is available in a wider range of colours than Rayshrink C. In addition to red, yellow, blue, black and white, the extra colours brown, orange, green, violet and the twin coloured green/violet sleevings are available in Rayshrink S.

Sleeving Applications
The clarity of Rayshrink CG allows its use where the covered component must be visible for reading or inspection.
- Labels can be protected even on flexible items
- Safety equipment can be inspected
- Security fittings can be seen
Sleeving Sizes
Rayshrink CG is a transparent grade of crosslinked polyolefin and is available in diameter sizes from 1.2mm to 101mm diameter. All sizes have 2:1 shrink ratio.

Sleeving Properties
Rayshrink S3 has similar properties to Rayshrink S and has the advantage of a 3:1 shrinkdown ratio. This enables components with larger variations in diameter to be covered.

Rayshrink 100 heat-shrink tube
Sleeving Properties
Rayshrink 100 is a dual walled sleeving of cross-linked polyolefin with a meltable adhesive inner liner. When heated, the adhesive melts and flows as the sleeving shrinks over the component. The adhesive is forced into spaces to form a seal against moisture or other environmental agents. Rayshrink 100 is available with shrink ratios of 3:1 and 4:1.

Sleeving Applications
The adhesive liner, on melting, flows to form a seal between the component and sleeving. Rayshrink 100 is selected for applications where this extra protection is required.
